Its covered skull dome was designed by Brunelleschi, and its bell tower was designed by Giotto. Among the exhibits in the Galleria dell'Accademia is Michelangelo's David. The Uffizi Gallery houses Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Leonardo da Vinci's Annunciation.
